The system setup is as follows. The door lock has wireless (Z-Wave) connection to the Schlage Link Bridge device (included with the product). The Bridge is connected to the home broadband router. The router communicates with Schlage service. Now, when you want to view the status of your home lock, you logon to the Schlage service that requests the status from the home lock system.
